Salt Fairy

About the Salt Fairy

Fairy is a shared supernatural element of mythologies and lore of all cultures worldwide. It is the symbol of goodness. Its supernatural powers are channeled for the good of mankind. The concept of fairy in Turkish mythology is present in Dede Korkut's tale on Cyclops, and the white girls serving as inspiration for the story.

We imagined a fairy living in lakes, seas, mountains, anywhere you can find salt, and made her our symbol. We call her the "Salt Fairy". Efsina, the Salt Fairy works day and night to make salt, one of the two fundamental elements of life along with water, or as you might call it, the "Crystals of Life", available to mankind.
